Martha Jane, daughter of Robert C. McCord was married to John C. McGaughy in Lawrence County, Ala. August 5, 1851. Copied from Old Family Bible. Page 679. Rufus C. McCord and Emma A. Farr were married in
Marshall County, Miss. April 9, 1874 by the Rev. Reeves of M. E. Church.
Rufus McCord parted this life and went home to Jesus,
Nov. 12, 1894. "A precious soul has gone home to God. He died as he
had lived, bravely trusting
God." Emma F. McCord, wife of Rufus C. McCord, gave up her beautiful life of sunshine and sacrifice on the 21st of December 1925. Had she lived until April 11, 1926, she would have been 74 years old. Died in Birmingham, Ala., and was buried in Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham.
Born to Rufus Chapman McCord and Emma McCord: Lutie - born June 2, 1975. Married B. G. Anderson,
Mobile, Ala. Feb. 12, 1896 by Rev Greves of M. E. Church at Corinth, Miss. Mr.
Anderson died Nov. 2 1 , 1901 and was buried at Henry Cemetery, Corinth, Miss.
To this union was born Emma Karolyn Anderson on July 3, 1897 and Roy Anderson
on August 27, 1899. Roy died Oct. 21, 1901 and was buried at Henry Cemetery in
Corinth. Second marriage of Lutie to U. R. Heavener on Dec. 25, 1904 at
Memphis, Tenn., by Rev Hugh Spencer Williams. Mr. Heavener was born March 23,
1847 and died Dec. 22, 1913., at Jackson, Tenn. Mary‑ born Dec. 25, 1876. Baptized by Rev C.N. wood on August 12, 1877. Married Claude Winston Boykin on Nov. 27, 1900. Claude was born Jan. 13, 1872 and died Feb. 13, 1910. To this union was born, infant not named, on Sept. 8, 1903. Buried in Henry Cemetery Willie Sue - born Jan. 11, 1879. Married Franklin W. Shepherd at
Corinth on June 15, 1904. Franklin was born Dec. 5, 1877. To this
union was born: hazel, on July 17, 1905, married John H. Stender of

Robert McCord died Dec. 28, 1852, and was buried at Rock Springs, I mile south of Mount Hope, Alabama. David L. McCord died Nov. 1, 1856 at 4:30 o'clock a.m. and buried on the same day, Saturday, 1/2 mile Northwest from Moulton, Lawrence County, Alabama by his wife. Penelope McCord died Feb. 4, 1827 in Lawrence County, Alabama. (Penciled in) Rowena McCord died July 1, 1849 in Lawrence County, Ala. 11/2 miles, Moulton 10 minutes before 7 o'clock p.m. Sabbath closing with her death. Buried 1/2 mile Northwest from town.
